You have to remember the "Thumper" cams is designed to give that radical sound... its all in the timing events of the cam. Did you by chance pull compression on the engine to see what you have? I wouldn't worry about it as long as the car performs....That's just me though..

I dig the 70's era look.... I am going for the same thing on my truck I am building!
