Time slip Opinions

Post by TAG55 »

1/8th mile only for now to get the car sorted out. I think theres more left in it. On the last pass it spun a little, but there was a 3 mph pickup. I know spinning will show more mph but 3 mph seems alot.. Before I made the last pass I set the shift light to 6800 instead of 7200.. All suggetions welcome.
Can't attach pics of the time slips says file is to large so below is what it did.. The pickup in the first 3 passes was bumping the timing up from 36 to 38degrees.. Only thing changed in the last pass was the shift point, and didn't hook..
1st. pass 2nd 3rd 4th
60' 1.45 1.44 1.38 1.67
330' 4.27 4.24 4.13 4.41
1/8th 6.62 6.58 6.45 6.69
mph 104.51 105.07 105.53 108.10

Providing that that your rear end gear and converter slip% is right for 1/4 mile you are looking at
131-132 mph and roughly 10.25 ET.....

If you can get the sixty foots down closer to your 1.38 you will go 10.0's......

Cant read much into that 1 fast mph hero run unless you can really get it to mph 108+ consistantly....
and if you can then you are looking at 9.90's@134mph.

Looks like you need to refine the chassis/suspension/tires/converter.

What is the combo? Seems like a good start.

330' 4.27 4.24 4.13 4.41
1/8th 6.62 6.58 6.45 6.69
mph 104.51 105.07 105.53 108.10
here's the possible full ET and MPH incrementals :

60= 1.4500 44.5105
330= 4.2700 83.2388
660= 6.6200 104.5100
1000= 8.6562 119.5372
1320= 10.4266 125.8499

60= 1.4400 44.8579
330= 4.2400 83.7304
660= 6.5800 105.0700
1000= 8.6012 120.4286
1320= 10.3586 126.7937

60= 1.3800 46.1042
330= 4.1300 84.7136
660= 6.4500 105.5300
1000= 8.4733 121.3772
1320= 10.2007 130.0173

60= 1.6700 43.7570
330= 4.4100 86.9624
660= 6.6900 108.1000
1000= 8.6571 124.8259
1320= 10.3400 133.1880
______________________________________________

if you have enough HP to run 108.1000 MPH at 660 FT
like a NHRA SuperStock Car
its possible to run something like this
if you applied that 108.10 MPH HP Curve all the way down
the DragStrip
60= 1.3330 47.9076
330= 3.9880 87.2389
660= 6.2580 108.1000
1000= 8.2240 124.6298
1320= 9.9100 132.9608

or if you are not Hooking ?
like this instead
60= 1.6700 43.7570
330= 4.4100 86.9624
660= 6.6900 108.1000
1000= 8.6571 124.8259
1320= 10.3400 133.1880
