ls engine breather

Post by sccagt1racer »

I'm in the process of building a ls engine for a c5 corvette. The car is used for road racing and autocross. My original plan was to use 12 an fittings welded into the valve covers plumbed over to a Peterson catch can on the right side of the engine bay. The problem is there is very little room to get the line from the left side valve cover to the catch can with the proper uphill to the tank. If I just ran a 16 an on the right side valve cover would it be enough to remove the vapors?

If the rings are sealing decently, a -16 in the right cover should be fine (especially on CW circuits). A -12 might work, but why take chances?

tie both covers together with a hose and just vent from the one.
