It’s been said that Lifts over .625-.630 and the OEM rocker is scuffing the valve tips instead of rocking. Shaft rockers or at least pedestal mount roller tipped Comps are in your future with lifts near .700. I hear Texas Speed has a roller tipped bolt down OEM style rocker now, but about all I know of it. What’s the rpm range he spins the original one to?

Yes. They do get a little raunchy at above those lifts but I have a semi-solution for that. I intend on running as many production parts as i can. Im not wanting to add any weight, cost or complexity to this.

If you check out the PHR Jan '12 issue, these guys at D&A Machine in Georgia built a torque beast for the Engine Masters thing. IIRC, 580hp, 580 lb/ft. I called them last week. Said you could easily duplicate it. GMPP LS3 cnc'd heads at 750 ea, $2000 408 stroker kit, $250 intake, $600 carb, etc. What I liked about the motor was it was at 530 ft/lb at 2500RPM.
Just a suggestion.

Gnarly is good. I think my original prediction is possible.

That would be a nice surprise. But, I really don't know what to expect honestly. Thanks for the input.

Yeah, I'm going in a different direction than that kind of a build.
