I am not sure just what you are looking for but I have a similar build. It is a 358" with SRP professional piston and ring kit with EQ heads I ported myself and a HR cam from Chris Straub. A Chinese single plane intake I ported myself and a carb I pieced together myself. It made 482HP at 6,600 RPM's on pump gas. My compression was a touch lower being right at 10 to 1.

If you use an aftermarket head, It's not a Vortec build, the heads are not the same, likely significantly better.

I don't remember where the torque peaked and how high. I will have to pull it back up on the computer when ever I get back to the shop. I always like to set my squish between .035 and .045. I think that engine was closer to .040 being it went into the family play boat. Being in a boat I was not overly concerned with low RPM grunt as we used gear and prop to get it where it was happy. We still have a touch of boat setup to dial in, but the engine is happy and more than willing.

Thats more like a chevy powered lawn chair than a boat!!
OP, what solid cam/spec do you have there?
