Counter weight to cyl. clearance

Post by tenxal »

What's considered to be the minimum clearance needed between a crank counter weight and the bottom of a cylinder? Application is your typical drag race big block Chevy to 7,500-7,800.

Thanks! :)

A zip tie, or, if you are feeling adventurous, a paper clip.

A counter weight clearance of .030" is fine , but Aluminum Rods should get .060".
