Electromagnetic twisting force....or torque.

Actually it's the net tractive force which is the same as a car with internal combustion engine coincidentally

It's the fuel that makes it all work.

Rate of burning fuel.
It's directly related to HP.

Or in the case of an electric car, the rate of converting electrical energy into mechanical energy.

Ahhhhhh gone full circle already......again.

I was taught only three ways to make HP in IC engines: decrease friction, ie pumping losses, raise BMEP, or raise RPM. Raising RPM is the easiest. I'd go with the higher RPM engine.

You mean increasing horsepower? Or actually making it?

Think of it as releasing the fuels energy while minimizing losses.
No one makes power that is not there.

NOPE.
Torque is NOT the source of HP.
Cylinder pressure is!

Not factoring for aero, parasitic driveline or rolling resistance. Irrelevant to the argument.
Acceleration can be obtained from cylinder pressure, bore area, piston speed, drive wheel speed and vehicle weight.
Increasing the first three will improve acceleration. The higher the last two are the acceleration goes down.
No torque, no gears, no BS in the mix.
torque
tôrk/
noun
1.
MECHANICS
a twisting force that tends to cause rotation.
2.
variant spelling of torc.

horse-pow-er
ˈhôrsˌpou(ə)r/Submit
noun
a unit of power equal to 550 foot-pounds applied per second (745.7 watts).

Torque is a relative measurement. Horsepower is abstract, it is a measurement of work applied over a period of time.

Beyond that narrow perspective:

Look to cylinder pressure when thinking about torque and horsepower.

Horsepower. Key word there is "accelerates". HP by definition is the amount of time it takes to move an object of a specific weight over a specified distance. (translation - acceleration) Torque is force without time involved. Acceleration involves both force & time. See definiton of horsepower below.

horsepower

the power exerted by a horse in pulling
pl. -·pow·er a basic unit of power in the FPS system, equal to the power needed to raise a weight of 550 pounds a distance of 1 foot in 1 second or a weight of 33,000 pounds a distance of 1 foot in 1 minute

Hard (impossible) to determine which of the 427's will be faster (quicker) at the dragstrip. Car weight, gearing and several other factors are of utmost importance in this matter.

There's a reason the NHRA limited RPM in Pro Stock, and why you don't see 6000 rpm "truck" engines in F1.
