Figure out what the cr really is, send your pistons to Eric at rebco, and see how many ccs he can take out.

#1 Verify mechanical compression ratio. #2 Triple check cam timing. If you want a real number to toss around.... Run the engine to temp and heat up oil. Take off vtec solenoid, apply air pressure to lock rockers onto high cam, and perform cranking pressure test. That said, cranking #'s dont mean jack on a 9000rpm honda.

12.5 :1 is fine. Mild cam timing on the low lobes will make it knock prone. No worries. Retard the ign timing . It wont make any hp until it's on the high lobes. Don't put a long runner factory intake on it that kills output above 8000rpm.

This is the ticket. Normally on a setup like yours I am running around 24° on the low cam and 26-27° on the high cam, depending on cam timing...
