Last time I touched a Quadrajet was around 1992! By the time I quit fiddling with those damn things I was almost fair at tuning them. Tunnel ram will be stage 2 of this build.

I put a couple qjets on a sbc 6-71 in a sand buggy. It worked GREAT after a bit of tuning but looked like a bag of ass. I contemplated 3 qjets on a bigger blower on large cu in marine bbc's, never did it though.

Hard to beat the looks of a pair of holleys, 4150 or 4500.

Normally anything over 500 horse on the street is only beneficial to the tire mnf.

A 2piece areo fiberglass scoop will hide the dual quad qjets.
Improve the look a lot. Could be mounted i inline or back to back. A few ways to skin that cat. A tunnel ram is not your only
dual carb option for hot street.

Carbs are not my thing. Like roller cams once you go roller you never want to go back to flat tappets. I have been into fuel injection since the 80's. I was laptop tuning that crap in 95.

I was a tbi guy. Still am, I like a wet manifold due to the cooling effect of evaporating fuel has. Wet manifolds work if fuel prep is good the shape of the runners have correct taper, you do something cool in the plenum like Frankenshaft, I have a very different design. Don't forget the surface texture. Even my next higher performance motor will probably be tbi. Thanks, Charlie

Speaking of tbi, those fitech efi units work really well. Considering the price, that is a very neat deal. It is self learning too. We did a back to back on the dyno vs a carb on a 450hp ish 347 ford, after only 5 pulls it was 4-5 better on hp, but down 10 ft/lbs. Called it a day there. It may have gotten better with more pulls. Had to sneak up on the pulls, the 1st few were short to be safe, and it was struggling, it worked as claimed, and smoothed out and self tuned, was pretty cool actually. I know another guy who has the fast efi tbi set up, and it was more of a user input required to tune, and was a lot more complicated to set up in car, the fitech, is amazingly simple. Look into that.
