Need Help On BBC Alumnium Heads For Street
Needing to purchase a pair of Oval Port BBC Aluminum heads for a new build. It will be a 427. The pistons I picked are Keith Black KB176 and Howards CL 120245-12 roller cam. The car is a 69 Camaro with 4 speed. Last but not least wanting to run on pump gas. All help will be appreciated.

You're doing this backwards. You don't pick pistons and camshafts before you pick cylinder heads.

AFR or Brodix and you can't go wrong, in fact I think Brodix has a Summer sale going on!

Re: Need Help On BBC Alumnium Heads For Street
If your Caming for peak power above 5500 I would go for the 290 cc heads if your running 3.90 or better rear gears, if not then the 265 cc head makes far more sence.
AFR has a roller spring set up option, I don't know about Brodix?
If this car has never seen a motor making over 400 HP then plan on up grading the fuel system a bunch before you yank full throttle out of the new motor!!!

The owner wants a pump gas streetable 427 for weekend driving and car shows. The car is a very nice 69 Camaro Yenco tribute with Muncie 4 speed.mag2555 wrote:If your Caming for peak power above 5500 I would go for the 290 cc heads if your running 3.90 or better rear gears, if not then the 265 cc head makes far more sence.
