Are you guys having these valves coated after refacing? I am also interested in what others have used on these heads as far as guide materials, coatings etc.
I have a set Im freshening and playing with that has the guides wore out(badly) on them. Im sure someone on here has been down this road, It seems to be a farely common issue with these heads from what Im hearing. The exhaust valve stems and guides are completely shot.
Intake guides are pretty out of whack as well. 30,000 miles on these heads. They came off of a completely stock, untouched Z06. Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: Titanium LS7 Valves
A big issue with the offset metal injection molded rockers used on those motors is that the tips are twisted, they side load the valves which wears the guides out really quickly - we true up the tips on all LS rockers because of this, seen as much as .010" across that little tip.
As for the valves, yes - they should be re-coated, the stem coating has been blamed partially for the guide wear.
