300-25 Strip dominator intake vs 2701 Edelbrock?

1/4 dirt track oval, 3000-7000 rpm range roughly 4.040x3.480 bore/stroke. 9.8:1 comp 1 5/8-1 3/4" header
1.6 roller rockers
Cam:
243/244 @ .050"
.337"/.344" Lobe Lift
.539/.550 on 1.6
105 LSA
Using a 750dp with a 850 baseplate Holley, any 1" spacer, 360 rule, using EQ350i heads, 1.94/1.50 valves 5 angle job, no porting allowed.

Within the rpm range and specs does the strip dominator far outperform the 2701

im no kind of expert, but imo especially in a 3000and up situation, id take the strip dominator without hesitation.

X2. Put a little more gear/shorter tire in it and rev it.

In my opinion ... the 25, no question or a Professional Products "Hurricane+Plus""; (not the "Super Hurricane").

Joe Sherman would know if you are spliitting hairs
Id bet the 25 would outperform it upstairs but that may not be best
Curious to hear the responses. Love the 300-110 if you can find one

Haven't you asked this question within the context of other post atleast twice before and got responses?

To quote Joe Sherman, "The intake is not important, its there to just hold up the carb"

That is only really true when comparing intake manifolds which are already close to each other.

Yes, Joe's experience was rather different when one of the manifolds was holding up two carbs... :D

"Lots of people will not like to hear this, but I have never seen a sheet metal ( Hogan ) tunnel ram out perform an old Edelbrock or Weiand. The runner size does not seem to be very important. Several years ago, an engine customer with a 547 BB Chevy that was making right at 900 Hp, bought a Holley T ram at the swap meet for 350 dollars, completer with the real nick Enderly linkage. He already had one 1050 Dominator, so I let him Burroughs one Dominator I had, just like his. On the dyno, it picked up 99 horsepower= In his car, he picked up over three MPH, and his E T dropped by two full tenths ( 148-9.20-- After he went 152 at 9.00 )I do not have an answer to your question."

I am not the topic here, but some people can make a big deal out of anything. In general, dual planes will make more more up to near 6000 rpm. Above 6000, a simile plane will usually make more power. Sometimes it is very little, so small, you cant ever tell in the seat of your pants. Many manifolds are so close in performance, the carb tuning can make more difference that the actual manifold would.

Another one for the 300-25, that'd be my pick, may be splitting hairs with the heads as cast, but if I didn't already have a manifold & was buying one I'd buy the Holley.

Looking at your specs I'd stick 1.7 intake rockers on it as well.

1/4 mile dirt on spec tires (I assume) the single plane will be easier to hook up.
