Pretty interesting video ! Interesting air flow, too.

I know I'm easily amused but I thought that was pretty cool. 8)

Waiting for Test #5: 60% nitromethane.

Always wanted to get a high speed camera.

Looks like it's running rich, even on regular gas, I'm guessing they've done that so you can see the flame.

I really like the superior wet flow characteristics of the Briggs and Stratton head design, lol.

It was pretty cool seeing the blowdown phase and the exhaust pumping phase in slow motion, though.

I would love to see what a textured surface in the chamber would do for all that unburned wet flow ( Alky) but then you could not see what was going on much and would have to rely on temp readings before and after, or direct ratio readings!

It was also interesting that the last place to burn was not always the far away side of the bore wall, but also behind the intake valve near the plug.

2 similar simplicity riding mowers one flat head and one OHV and the flat head used 50% more gasoline mowing the same area.

This one has cleaner video of the combustion process. Also keep an eye out for the welded inline-4 Briggs motor and the harbor freight style tools they used. The homemade log header they fabricated is damned cool too.

Now if only some major speedfreak got ahold of a 4k slo-mo camera so we could watch the results from a dedicated hotrodding effort. Nipped and ported head, intake and exhaust upgrade, adding spark intensity, burn effects of tuning, etc.
