Who knows ignition boxes REALLY well?

Post by sc2dave »

i have an HI6DI2. i want to install it on a motorcycle that runs 2 dual output coils on a 4 cyl engine. I did have an MSD MC-3 ignition box that is the same as a DI2 only the MSD is for a m/c. I had it for around 16 years on the bike. What I want to know is if the DI2 can be triggered by the oem ignition coil wires that went to the stock coils. Also, what wires from the DI2 would I need to hook up to the oem bike ignition harness to trigger DI2? the bike is an '89 GSXR 750, carbed,no electronics on it,no ecm,etc Thanks!!

I've called them before several times and they never answer and they don't call back when I leave a voicemail. Waste of time calling them.

Patience? I called them around 3 months ago. I would think that's plenty of time.

Yup, Pat gets my vote too. Everytime I've called he has either answered the phone or I got a timely response.

Did you mention the HI box? Maybe he only works on MSD?

I called and they never answer. I didn't mention box. A lot of negative reviews for him on Yellow Bullet!!!!!

I've sent Pat Collins probably 6 boxes and refered him to at least that many others. Never had an issue here, timely repairs at reasonable prices. He fixed a 7AL2 that had been to MSD 3 times and they couldn't get it right.

Maybe you need to get one of these guys to call him on your behalf, Dave...
