Bought new in early 90's ported and never used. AFR 220 ported to 237cc 2.125 / 1.625 REV valves. Chamber cut for 4.03 bore. I need to step up my game and I could use some input. Thanks, Charlie

Early 90's porting. Rough cuttered intake and 200 grit exhaust polished.

Calibrated sf 600 flows. Fair but not great for such a large port and big valves.

Basic intake port layout measurements.. Pitot testing states high speed all across the ssr but a nice speed progression from pinch to valve seat. 5/16 flowball reduced about 5cfm nearly everywhere between .4" to .7" lift so I feel the basic port shape is ok. All input is welcome. Thanks, Charlie

Can we see the intake looking from the manifold side?

What level of Intake flow do you have with the valve out?
You should have atleast 300 cfm @.500" with a port that size and a valve that size , so I am thinking more along the lines of chamber shrouding.

I will give it a flow, I was thinking the same thing last night. Chamber is ok but not my best work. I am sure this will be bolted to a 400+ cube motor when I am done so a full chamber work up is in the future. Thanks, Charlie

I just got done confirming the flow on a AFR LS1 with a 2.02 valve and it was flowing 300 cfm@.500" , 2.02" is pretty close to your throat size!
Can you post up a picture of what a lenght of Solder looks like if your rap it around the center of the whole short turn , its lenght should go from the chamber wall to the crown of the short turn.
Here's a picture of such from a 1979 Pontiac Iron head I was working on over the weekend that was flowing 280 cfm.
The throat on this head was 1.80",or 85%.
