Cast iron Guides

Can you use Cast iron Guides iiin aluminium heads.. I have a machime shop trying to install them then put a k liner in them. Will this work, is It a good idea?

Yes it will work but I would question why??
All you are doing is more work & doubling the chances of moving the seat.

Plus by putting a k-line inside another guide all your doing is adding another place the heat has to transfer through.

Can't they fit another solid bronze guide??

When the Mopar B1 TS heads cam out there were problems with the Si. Bronze guides in the Ex burning out. They have a very long reach into the port. The solution was to use a long tapered steel shell with the K-line insert. It withstood the high ex temps better than the full Si. Bronze guide. I have a set of TS-8 heads in the shop now that are done the same way.
