Severe duty valves?

Post by ventura74 »

Has anyone used Competition Products severe duty valves? I'm looking at them for a street strip setup, SB Chevy around 600 HP or so. I've used Herbert's several times in the past with no problems just looking for another affordable option, Thanks

There is some issue with affordable and 600 hp. Buy quality valves! Save up! You will be happier! I am not saying anything negative about the valves you are asking about. I learned a long time ago that quality costs! The only way I would do it.

400 SB Chevy SHP block solid roller 12.25 comp. tunnel ram 750 Holley HP's RHS 235cc heads valves need to be +.200 for spring height. Sending heads out to be done but want to supply valves and keepers.

use +.050" locks on the exhaust valves to get your spring height or call Brian at Dakota parts warehouse for custom length Ferrea valves (at a reasonable cost)
