Any guesses on what much better ring seal on special needs will be worth power wise?
26.313 HP.

You're going to have more friction loss. :wink:
Negative 26.3 or positive 26.3? :lol:
Roughly. :lol:

I honestly would be surprised if it didn't surpass the 600 mark with good seal and a vacuum pump.

Wanna try a electric Vette pump? I have one I'll loan you for SN testing purposes.

I appreciate that. Have you used one and if so how much vacuum was it capable of?

I'm curious for more details of this electric vacuum pump as well. What engine hp and size of engine/brand,etc. Sheesh I need to get out more. #-o

I posted it here somewhere- I think it was 5-6", but my methodology was not the best. A started using them in 2003 when I saw them on many of the Outlaw 10.5 cars around here. Not having access to a dyno personally, the only thing I noticed was the plugs looked better (low 9 street car), and I it idled better.

It's likely not what you guys are used to, but it worked well on my SB, BBC and Subarus (terrible CCV and sealing issues).

...and they are cheap- both the pump and harness can be had from Delco distributors for less than $200.

Are you using part # 12554580?

The PN on my box is GM 24505066 air pump, 95 Corvette, but your PN certainly is a clone of the pumps I've used.
GM 12117025 Harness

1) Remove the large black plastic cover from the pump. There are three tangs and silicone sealer holding the two halves.

2) Remove the dense foam surrounding the pump housing. In the event a large amount of oil is aspirated, the foam will cause pump meltdown...don't ask :lol:

3) Remove the small green solenoid entirely from the circuit.

Hot=ORG
GND=BLK

I would strongly suggest using a relay with this pump; it pulls a bit of current.

24505066 is now discontinued. Your harness number is still good though. I may get a 12554580 and see what it looks like. I doubt it will pull the amount of vacuum that I'd want. But I can see it being nice for somethings I mess with.

The spacer is an HVH I recently acquired, the 1050 I just had jmark go through for a dyno carb for all of us to try. Neither one are specifically for special needs. Just set them on there to get them off the bench. I may test the dominator on it, but it will most likely have a 4150 on it for most of the tests. RPM will be the same as previously 3000-7000.

Actual dyno results ????
Why bother?
You should be able to run your flowZ and cam, or maybe just IVC on some program and know what it will make. :D :lol:

That carb up for pulling truck duty ?

Sure. If my results don't agree with theory, go with the theory? Is that right? In all seriousness, she should be good to go.

Dominators look good on small blocks,

609.667HP @ 7011RPM, 510.036TQ 5445.19RPM.
