I don't put much faith in most programs. At least not any in my price range.

Im pretty fortunate to be around as many dyno sessions....and data from them as I am. It tends to make you much less likely to be bullshited.

Chad
I see a lot who want to keep their engine secret, but that's the wrong attitude. Having a group of smart people who are all willing to share their data accelerates everyone's learning. No way any one person can have their hands on that many different engines when we are doing this as a hobby. Our knowledge network keeps growing. :D

Rick
Very true on all accounts.

I am fortunate to be around a very good group of engine/racing guys.

I just hope they don't view me as a drag on the learning curve . :?: :D

He used the 128 formula for piston to head clearance.

stroke/128 = piston to head clearance
3.5/128 = .027"

Note that I'm laughing at the coincidence.

Shiny mark at the kinda upper left is point of contact. Valve reliefs to the right for reference.

So that 10 o'clock contact/impact point is on the edge of the crown? Puzzling; don't know what could cause that other than hard-to-overlook mishandling before assembly... :-k
