Planning a cam change from my too large 276/284 @ .050" Comp solid roller and want to bounce some ideas off him. I get good pricing through our buying group so that's why I'm going with Comp.

Who is the man to deal with?

Thanks!

Tim Cole is a very knowledgeable guy who I have known for years. He is a serious drag racer, and has lots of first hand experience. He would be an excellent person to talk to. JOE SHERMAN RACING

I cannot say anything good about Comp and the day I have to buy anything from them will be the last day im in business.

If you want a camshaft for your engine that has more than a little
thought in it.

John Dougherty is the man

Between my partner and myself we have gotten easily 2 dozen camshafts from John and have never not picked up a combination and and always spot on.
Regrinds, solids, hyd flat tappet, roller he can do it all and is one of the few people in the camshaft industry that asks enough questions to even begin to grind a camshaft.

He is a member on this board as well.

Thanks again Joe!

Talked to Tim Cole (wrote both names on the fax, he took the case) this morning, what a nice guy to talk to, lots of ideas with good explanations to back them up.

He had suggested a 4/7 firing order swap, stating it was a no loss choice that is a little easier on the crank plus the potential for some ET reduction on the track.

I've used the swap cams in a couple of 565's I built this year but I don't have any experience with small blocks. What is your opinion/experience with them?

I usually talk to Chris, since he's an old pal from Iowa. Tim is also as sharp as they come. Sounds about like the cam in my new 331"... 312AR7 is what I'm using. Very pleased with their service and support.
