OK, I got what I deserved. I should have looked it up before I said anything. I`ll look before I leap next time.

In Germany, it´s not common at all as well as in the rest of world unless US to use modified CNC heads. Thats only possible with huge quotes of heads being required on the market. You US-guys should be happy about your general part situation compared with the ROW =D> =D> I have to order my parts all around the world or do them myself. No pistons, no rockers, no camshafts, no rods, no valves. Lot of expense to source everything.

Yes, I`m CCing my cc to confirm my static compression ratio and compare all chambers to each other.

For many years I used rubbing alcohol sourced from the local drug store, with a little food coloring added to make it easier to see. Started using windshield washer fluid a couple of years ago and it works very well.
I have always measured at the bottom of the meniscus, as this seems more accurate and repeatable. The edges of the meniscus seem to be less consistent and varies depending on the fluid used, temperatures, etc. Basically though, it really doesn't make much difference, as far as net volume is concerned, where you take the reading.

Thanks for the offer :D Next year I´m gonna visit Frisco and the Rockies, first time for me. Told the wife that I might have to visit some engine shops, she went for the broom...
It´s a pity that US-guys just like to go straight ahead like hell, I like cornering like hell much more  I image 700 hp is funny if you may go 55 mph on public roads....In 8 years time I`m going to retire, then I think it over again

Yes. If you are in the Rockies, consider attending the Pikes Peak Hill Climb if it can fit in your plans.

I have used washer fluid in the past but found it goes off! if left in the burette for a time, so now use parts washer fluid( Kerosene), and as some-one else said it just goes back in the tank after use.

The formulas vary greatly and some of them easily support bacterial growth. Good example below:

Just in case you did not have enough things to worry about.
