Old Pro Topline Flow Numbers- Maybe???

Post by RevTheory »

Do any of you cylinder head guys have the actual flow numbers (archives, I'm sure :D ) for the old Pro Topline 200 cc SBC iron heads from ~10 years ago? I know they're the small chamber version, whatever that means, with a 2.05 valve.

Does anyone know how they did below .300?

Thanks

I'm pretty sure I have the numbers for the aluminum 200cc heads and the 220cc iron heads, I'll look tomorrow.

A specific part number on the casting would be helpful??

I believe there weren't any 200cc runner, iron heads, with a 2.050" valve, only a 2.020".

With some add'l info I may be able to give you some "book" numbers. I have no personal iron (SBC) head records for this brand.

Thanks, Gary in N.Y.

P.S. On a side note, the numbers posted in the Pro-Topline catalog reflecting the flow numbers was extremey accurate. We are still using the 320 BB aluminum's. From the boxes (untouched) they flow 375/275 @ .700". This is slightly higher than the advertised number in the catalog for this specific head. I have numerous 740HP/705T 540's with under 10:1 C.R.

I've got two sets of numbers here and I think the first one is right- 223400000A and also (and I don't remember where this came from) 2154303021. I could certainly be wrong on the valve size.

Hi "Rev", the first number is a good one, the second not!

There were/are no "215" series (that I'm aware of), there was a "214" series, but no "215"??

The 223400000A is a "bare-as cast", 200 runner, (setup for 2.020 +.100" intake, 1.600" +.100" exhaust), 64 cc chambers, and angle-plugs. The "A" denotes the angle-plug in the part number. Without it would be a straight-plug platform (223400000).

Thanks, Gary in N.Y.

P.S. The numbers are (intake:.100"/.700"), 68, 134, 191, 235,260, 268, and 278, (exhaust:.100"/.700") 57, 101, 157, 177, 186, 190, and 195! I can't confirm the numbers, but knowing these heads fairly well I suspect they would be "on-the-money"!!
