go here and fill out the form and also post all the rest of the details here
http://jonescams.com/street-performance/
like headers, exhaust, quench distance (top of piston to head at TDC)
what rpm do you see out on the road in OD?
what cam now? or is this a new build?
what were you running and where do you want more?
can you give up any off the line grunt?
Is your block set up for hyd roller or do you have to use retrofit kit?
what springs and how much lift will your valve train take?
do you have rockers already? what ratios?
etc.

I guarantee you will not need that big of an injector. I would go with a hydraulic roller. You do have the rpm range about right. I would look into a larger runner such as the Accel or the Edelbrocks if you want a few more ponies.

good point
but the 170 EQ Vortecs should work well for driveability with the heavy ride
Does he have the heads already?
or were you suggesting a manifold plenum?

The runners. The plenum is OK. The intake manifold portion he has is aftermarket and flows better than the stock one. However using the stock runners will be the bottleneck.

If you bought them pre-assembled and you haven't already, you need to check to see what kind of lift you can get out of the heads. Are they as cast? They respond very well to minor porting - might be worth it considering you're putting them on a 406. As Allen said, the stock runners are definitely going to be the choke point. Self porting a set of SLP runners and cutting the divider as far back as you can with a 6" burr is a pretty good bang for the buck and would be a huge improvement.

Yep, just depends on the OP goals.

, looking for a fun street car with off idle to 4800-5200,
Some of us wish we had more customers like you. There is a local assembler selling 383"s on eBay with 500hp advertised. The cams are so big, they may just possibly make 500hp @ 7,000 RPMs; about the time the stock rods would give up. I hear of these ending up in shops all over, owners looking for help, mystified because it won't idle under 1500 RPMs and doesn't make enough vacuum to operate the power brake booster. But they have rocker covers with "383 Stroker" in large letters.

hyd flat tappet:

crane cams H-266-2 113931 or crane Z-262-2 113511. can use 1.6 rockers.
adjust power curve by adjusting cam installed phasing.
