Any advice on surfacing and valve jobbing a set of these heads

I've surfaced them. Install the thickest head gasket and you will be fine

I usually find that after a valve and seat job, .008" needs to be taken off the heads to bring the valves back to proper depth. Your mileage may vary.

The gasket manufacture's offer gaskets in many different thicknesses so if you need to remove more material you can compensate.

The last job I did I had to remove .010. The gasket was blown and had a grove worn in the head from the gasket. I did both heads the same and installed the thicker gaskets. All was well

I used victor gaskets. They are mls and very nice quality. Same with bolts
