How far have u pushed std valve rpm/spring pressure looking at running std valve on a Hr .600 lift
Re: ls1 valves
I have been told stainless valves are to heavy and if you are going to change them go straight to titanium ?

Yes, decent stainless valves will be as light or lighter, but cheapo valves could well be heavier - stock LS1 valves are quite light.birkey wrote:I am far from an Ls pro, but aftermarket SS valves are not too heavy. What springs?
FWIW, I have ran stock valves with .600" lift cams and ~ 130/140lbs on the seat many many times.

Re: ls1 valves
I normally use the factory valve in LS applications unless I am going to a larger diameter or it's a severe power adder application. 180lbs seated is the norm. I've never had an issue. A standard replacement manley or ferrea is going to add a substantial amount of mass to the equation for sure. If you look aftermarket then only consider hollow stem.
