New Vortec heads P/N 25534371

Post by CNC BLOCKS »

I got 3 sets of these heads in 2 weeks ago and while being down in North Carolina for the last 10 days visiting shops that I do bussiness with to find out that GM has recalled them due to valve seats being to deep, And I called my GM rep to find out this is true. So anyone having these heads may want to send them back for a refund. And there is no news when they will be replaced.

-Mike,,,,This set I got are the raised about .100" intake ports cast iron 350 Chevy heads, and I've had them maybe 6 months, sent to me from a friend.
-I'm just now getting ready to start on them so this could save us a lot of trouble if we find out they are the problem heads.

-Which head is the 206 CC port head? mine or the heads that this thread is about?

The 206cc is the one this thread is about. It is pretty new & is a large port Vortec GM came out with not a producton head & I believe it has the BowTie logo cast into it
The 062 you have is a standard Vortec.

-I just noticed that my heads don't have any seats so they can be any problem so thanks for the feedback.
