need to know where to find 460 Ford deck extension plates

Post by hurstoldsracer »

We need to raise the deck 1" on a 460 Ford to make it 11.300" for a long stroke (5.125) combination. Does anyone make a plate for this or do we need to make our own? If someone does make one, what is the material, cast or steel?

You might get answers over at the BBF forum at: http://www.460ford.com/viewforum.php?f=1
Give it a try - they are a very knowledgeable bunch.

IDT will be introducing 11.3 and 12.3 iron blocks at this year's PRI in December. They will have all the same features as the 10.3, 8620 billet caps 4 bolt at all 5 positions, 4.700 bore capability, expanded water jackets, 70 MM cam, and Boss 9 style priority oiling system.

It would be easier than adding deck plates and sleeves.
