Read and believe what UD Harold says about obsolete old cam masters is true of all camgrinders
what has changed in the last 25 years or so?
Those early grinds are pre fast burn heads (and Vortec etc) and pre ovate and beehive valvesprings
on the other side oil can be problematic for flat tappets
the newer grinds are also easier on the valvetrain given the same "intensity"
