Might consider ERSON's "TQ" line of cams here if they will still sell a smaller one"?

They are on 111 degree centers and when I asked them why they picked 111, and the Tech said that they thought that it was a good balance between drivability and power.

Does Erson grind cams or just rebox them from Detroit?
How can you tell which is which?
Not to knock the Production grinder quality- it's usually tend to be very good, and very conservative

I want to say that the new, in the box, old ERSON BBC hy-cam I have out in the garage is a 284/218, 111/111, .540" lift cam.

I bought it for a 475 BBC engine for max torque and then I went with a 496 and the "bigger bug" bit me so I installed a CC 282S solid cam. Still wanting a great big "tow-truck" engine...

And I have this little jewel of a solid lifter custom cam that UDHarld created for me years ago..

It is 278/249, 110/106, .618" lift and need's .018" hot lash.

I bugged Harold to design me a solid lifter cam that was like CC's great old 288AR and he did!!
