Dirt latemodel, motor option legal 604 with 4 barrel carb 2350#. Or no touch 4412, 360ci no port bowtie head, flat tappet cam .874 lifter 11.1 max comp.wet sump.part #2701 or 5001 eldelbrock intake. #2400. No rpm limits on either. Must use sunoco 110 track fuel on both options. Most guys run the 2brl motor with very light rotating stuff and turn them 8000+ rpm. I rather do a 604 cuz there simple and marketable. What do you guys think? Thanks to all who read

It all depends on your definition of "legal 604"

The 2bbl will beat an out of the box 604.
A 604 that's been built to make as much power as possible, and still pass tech will beat the 2bbl.

are they making you run a chip on the 604? thats what they do here and it limits rpm to around 6800 so the 360 will kill the 604.

If your going to turn a 2 barrel 8000 I would go with a 6.250 rods as those builds don't fall of as fast as the 5.7 roded engines.

Call (R.E.D.) Race Engine Design talk to Ronnie. He builds some of the fastest create motor's in the country and the price isn't that bad. Tell him that I told you to call. I don't know where you are located but he is in N.-GA. around the Tenn. Ga. border.

ok, just found out i can use e-85 on the crate only. will that be a boost over the 110 sunoco? what about chp type fuel? i should beable to get my hands on pure ethanol and mix it e-85 with a race gas. any ideas if im getting closer to the 2 barrel motor if i go that route?

When you say legal crate 604, is that one with Nesmith or Fast track seals
