Balancing question.

This question may sound dumb but I've never balanced a crank so I dont know much about how its done. If you use a stock steel 350 chevy crank and offset grind it to increase stroke and use lightweight rods and pistons would you have to add weight to the crank or remove weight. I know its hard to know without knowing actual weights but assuming rods and pistons are considerably lighter than stock but with a stock crank.

Pretty good chance you'll still need to remove weight, it doesn't take much of an effort to remove 200+ grams of bobweight with aftermarket rods and forged pistons. Even if you had to add, the factory stuff generally has holes to add weight to so mallory won't be required.

With an offset ground 350 Chevy crank to a 2" journal and 3 9/16" stroke; when using a Chevrolet small journal rod and a catalog Speed-Pro piston it was close and some weight had to be REMOVED from the counterweights.
Now, if the ground offset stroke is longer with a smaller journal yet, I don't know.
