I've asked you for Harley Big twin cams before and had to settle for that four letter word brand. Just not worth it for a custom cam maker?
The H-D market is got a lot of players that have things locked up in it, and the cost to make my own cam cores and gears is too much for the amount I would sell.
Dan hilferty cams, now owned by zippers since his passing many years ago use to grind the lobes off oe cams and press on his lobes.
It was up to the builder to degree and weld the lobes to the core.
It made up for shortcomings in the other parts in the engines.
It took a little time but I liked his approach.
Just a affordable option to another market.

Jones does good job, especially with getting around a race track, but (as you prob know) while a good cam selection is an important part of a engine, it cant remedy a combo that is mismatched from the start.justahoby wrote:I like to say the "About US" section of the website really hits home, and tells what the company is about... i see passion....
My motor is out, ready for the head swap for all I have told him will be on my motor , waiting to be shafted by his mighty cam. or should I say knighted?
I heard his cams run like hell... cant wait.... by Tuesday i shall report!
Automotive Machining, cylinder head rebuilding, engine building. Can't seem to quit

Re: Jones Cam Design
Took it for a drive.... Didn't even get a chance to floor it! Sucker seems to respond very well from the bottom on up. WOW! I need wider tires for this sucker now....
It idles cleaner.
Starts better in the cold,
Responds like instant ..
Runs smoother..
Idles quieter....
Runs like a raped bat outa hell, yet never tried it at Wot.
Didn't seem to loose much bottom end on the butt dyno.....
How is this possible on about 13-14 more degrees of duration? Camking does good work.
If he suggest a cam for your application , I recommend taking his advise..

As I'm approaching 40,I still think I'm 20. What the hell is wrong with me?
Re: Jones Cam Design
I'll jump in on this one! Got my Jones cam installed in my hot rod. Havent driven it yet, too much snow on the ground. However, fired right up, idles great! Seems to run way better. Can't wait to drive it! So far I'm happy as hell. Camking rocks! Better believe I'll update after a test drive. I'm really looking forward to it.
