Hey MIke how about the difference in HP between your previous grinds and the new grinds

It depends on each application. In some applications an older profile may be better then a newer profile.
That's why we custom design each cam, per application.

I've asked you for Harley Big twin cams before and had to settle for that four letter word brand. Just not worth it for a custom cam maker?

The H-D market is got a lot of players that have things locked up in it, and the cost to make my own cam cores and gears is too much for the amount I would sell.

My old Jones cam is just yesterday's news.

I'm looking for the same drivability with more power everywhere. Start grinding!

I wanted to do something a bit different with my 565 build for my altered. I got very frustrated when talking to several cam grinders because they all told me it wouldn’t work, and I should go another direction. When I called Mike he listened, said he understood what I was trying to do but thought I was a bit over center, and made a couple of suggestions for a compromise. The way he did it was perfect, didn’t try to bull doze me, but gave me the reasons for adjusting my thoughts and they all made sense. Long story short, he ground me the cam, I had a special converter built to go with what I was trying to do with the motor and everything came out just the way I wanted to set up and run the car. I owe a lot of the success to Mike’s cam.

Just a balanced view, I bought a $500 jones cam to here in the UK, but unfortunely its sitting in a box in my garage because it got betten by a off the shelf girly crower cam by 100ftlbs tq with the same topend.

I need to speak to you about this cam profile R74406, can you please PM me. I would like more details please on this cam profile and how would you expect my engine to proform. I'm going to fit your cam as my engine needs a total rebuild due to a dropped intake valve.

We put a new custom grind from Mike on our dyno. It make 906hp less than the old Comp cam.

We called Mike to ask what went wrong.


He told us we had to install it in the engine first.


Well, after that, we were up 22 peak hp on a 491" RO3.
