Then our suspicions were correct. It's a poorly designed head.

How many heads were cracked in the SPC analysis?

We've had the foundry and engineers look this over and the problem is not one of design, but how the O-rings are seated.
With the extra bolts along the outside of the head, there is more clamping force on the outside. Because of this, if the o-rings aren't seated completely or correctly, the extra force will pull down with the o-rings being a fulcrum point and cause this condition.
yeah, that's what happened

After reading your post again, I'm thinking you probably work for a competitor or are after revenge against World, no one could be this self destructive,,,could they?

I understand what the other people are saying about toqueing the extra bolts down to cause the heads to crack but what bothers me is that world designed these heads to be the ultimate power adder head. I haven't broken anyone elses heads and I wanted to beleive I was building the best inline valve small block ford. These heads flow great on my flow bench and I would like to use them at some where near their potencial but I beleive they can"t handle the boost level that I was running . Why dosen't world admitt I was way over their design specs. I was miss led by their advertising and I paid the price.

We O-ring every boosted or endurance Honda head we do. We don't run a receiver groove and we run Cometic MLS head gaskets. When we're done with the castings, they are thin and brittle, but we have never had a head break.
As I see it, the continuous "spin" from World speaks volumes about their committment to quality...and ultimately their customers.

The best face I can see putting on the situation is that the cantilever/O-ring issue is an unanticipated failure mode that World must address via a redesign, if customer confidence is to be regained.

Here's my question... Are you doing any re-engineering of the head at this point?

Bah!
No re-engineering needed. These issues are because of internet trolls and extortion attempts. Change the company name every now and then and tada.... "Not our problem anymore"
After reading a ton of forums with people that have had issues with Bill Mitchell/Hardcore/World/ect. products I did not see ONE customer that was satisfied with the results. That speaks volumes to me. After seeing how an employee representing the company has acted here seals the deal.
Takes a lifetime to gain a customer and only a second to lose one.

After seeing this picture, I never would have guessed the foundry expert engineers would come to this conclusion.

You need to find the right engineers.

I guess it is for reasons like this that companies like Dart do well with the pro racers. I brought Indy Cylinder heads into my country back in the 90's and promoted them. Back then they were good quality and records got broken not parts. Now I'd not go near them (like a number of other big names).
The list of block and head makers that make AND MAINTAIN quality control and design a top priority is short in my view.
Ok you pro race engine builders - what names would you add to a shortlist of companies that you can vouch for having consistently good design and quality castings?
I'm not a engine builder but I'll start the list - talking as cast/billet not finished:
1 - Dart - not necessarily the very best always, but consistently very good and will almost always do the job

I've never personally ran them but I've only heard good about Patriot Performance.

so I hace a set of these heads that I will probably never use. I have a pretty good business up here in Canada and have deal"t with many manufactures and most seam to want to stand behind their product. I have never asked for anything from World other than maybe they should admit that I was trying to do something that their product was not designed to do. I find it odd that no one knows of any one that has defended Worlds reputation by sayin that they use these heads in heavily boosted applications with no problems.
