You need to look at some QUALITY parts Joe. Callies, along with other reputable companies use smaller forgings for smaller journal sizes.TB

One simply way to tell if the forging is more compact, 2.1 vs 2.00, is look at the weights. If the small journal rod is heavier than the lg journal rod, then they used the same forging, but just bored and finish honed the big end to small journal size, which, will make the rod heavier by default, because obviously there is more meat left. But, if it is a dedicated forging for a small journal, and is lighter than the same rod except lg journal, then, it definately is more compact, and will clear better. Like a Compstar 6 inch H-beam for example. The Lg journal rod is roughly 630 grams. THe 6 inch small journal rod, is 590, with equal strength.

Well for an example, on a 427 SB Chevy running pump gas, that manifold with a 1050 Quick Fuel carb made 748 Hp at 7200 RPM. He used to run a ported super victor, and the AFR plastic manifold was over one mph faster at the track.
