BBC spark plugs.

Post by movetter1 »

I need a suggestion for which spark plugs to use in my BBC. Motor is a 468 with 39cc dome pistons from Probe, 122 cc chambers ,781 oval port iron heads,1000 HP carb on a Team G intake and a solid lifter cam 262 degree @ .050 in. 260 degree on the ex. @ .050 . The compression is about 10.8 and the redline is around 6500 rpm. I use Autolite 23 plugs on the street with pump gas.I want to know which plugs to use with 110 race gas on the strip. My car has gone mid 11's @ 116 mph.I have a 4000 stall, 4.10 gear with 275 Drag Radials . It's a 69 Nova around 3500 #. Thanks, Movetter1

I would go with a -7 heat range. I run NGK stuff so I'm not 100% sure what that is in Autolite. Anything around that range should be fine. IMO

I have NGK BR6FS plugs in a 12.4-1 468 with 781 heads. Runs 10.70's and .80's in a 3800lb. '62 Bel Air.
