What size carbs are you running on what displacement and for what type of racing?

Last carb I ran was an 850 on a .60 over 427 BBC bracket motor. Worked well, might have gone bigger for more hp but the goal was consistency.

Drag only 427 standard bore bbc with 1050 holley. Tried 825 Demon and lost about 2 tenths.

355 cu/in SBC stock LT-1 hi-rise intake with #4777 Holley, milled choke tower, de-burred throttle body, OK heads (230CFM int/190CFM exh) Ultradyne solid roller (243/247@0.050.) Best ET with this combo: 12.28@117MPH at the drags in a Corvette chassis set-up to autocross (1.58 sixty foot time.) I was told 650DP carb was too small but, putting a 750HP on same motor caused 60ft time to die (0.15-0.2 seconds loss on 60ft time) and no matter what I did to accelerator pump tuning it wouldn't ET as well as the 650DP, the 750HP did pick-up 1.5MPH. Throttle response in lower/mid range (2500-3200RPM) was important to me as I run Vette at autocross competitions so 650DP was carb of choice.

New motor 380cu/in SBC Super Victor, AFR 195cc heads, Comp solid roller Holley 750HP Ultra still waiting to get on the dyno. Should run into the 11's with new combo [-o<

I always liked my 750 carter afb the 9000 series...worked well on many 350's from daily drivers to
my street strip cars...or 2 600 afb's on a tr1yx tunnelram that is 12" tall. if you like to show off ..
all my daily drivers and street strip cars have 180-245 lbs of cranking pressure so carb signal is usually really good
I try to shoot for 200 cranking psi

another good one for a 327 was the 450 mechanical holley some reason that thing just plain worked well
I will run a Q jet before a holley for a street strip car...but when tweaked with a grinder the holley will hold it's own and turn corners way better than the afb's.
I have 2 Holleys i need to make time for
A 1966 corvette 300hp 327 Holley all original and looks pristine for its age, curious as to what kind of performance i can get from her and mpg in my 47 dodge
and a 750 double pumper i cant wait to grind on

Carter W1 on 181 cubic inches for stoplight racing in a 1934 chev roadster pickup, oh how I miss that carby, one pump of the accelerator and it would hand crank so much easier than the EFI currently fitted, without fear of kickback and personal injury.

I'll be running an 1190 King Demon on a 600" BBC. Tuneup not known yet, as motor is still being built, and whether or not carb will stay a 3 circuit or converted to a 2 isn't known yet either. Only thing for sure is that it will be on the motor...............drag only, 250" RED
