I have seen on most Chev with HV pumps the oil press drops off as rpm goes up
STD vol does not do this

Re: Interesting oil pressure problem
Thank you that helps,
I have .028 top ring, .030 second ring, piston oilers and spring oilers a Canton 8" deep pan 10 qt pan with all the bells and whistles ( * Six Trap Door Baffles
* Oil Recovery Pouch
* Crank Scraper
* Bolt In Slosh Baffle
* Built In Louvered Windage Tray)
in marine application.
My oil pressure starts out great but the longer and faster I go the less it becomes, down 45psi . I don`t believe there is anything covering the pickup and my issue may be the same....

Re: Interesting oil pressure problem
You might consider a Moroso #22187 style pump or doing something similar to that pump where there is a baffle around the pickup itself. The melling shark tooth pumps also work very well if you are afraid you have pump cavitation.
Re: Interesting oil pressure problem
I think I`ll pull both motors and go to the 10" deep 14 qt pan . Canton recommended the 18-372.
I have Schuman HV pumps. I believe those should be sufficient ..
I hope that helps it`s a lot of work if it doesn`t .
