Cyco Systems Pro Race SFI balancer. Summit sells them with the
Summit brand name on them. The one I use for SBC's cost about $200,
good to 8500+ RPM, great balancer for the price. They offer less
expensive models, I never tried them.

Find another stock one if price is a concern.

If you are worried about cost your local wrecking yard may be able to supply a balancer for under 100$
If you care about the engine there are lots of options for an additional 50$

Bought that exact balancer for an internal 496. Looks like a decent piece and I've had good luck with Pioneer over the years. I DID have to hone the balancer to fit the snout of an offshore crank. Be aware of that before you hurt something. Also, if you don't need "SFI" pioneer sells them for under $100 but they are external, I think.

So did I. That's one of the reasons I thought it was a reasonable deal for an under 7K rpm engine. Heard that Pioneer acquired the Powerbond brand but don't know for sure.

Powerbond used to supply Pioneer. Not sure they do now though.

Anybody that can't afford ATI we usually try to steer them toward powerbond. Good product for the money.

Good and cheap engine parts seldom can be used in the same context......
