Holley Truck Carb

Post by Alex »

Hi Guys,
Was wondering if any of you have experiance with the new truck avenger carb. I built an engine for a guy who will be running on rough terrain. He all ready has a 4160. What is different between the two? Mainly the claims on the metering block. I will connect the vents with a perferated hose. I am mainly concerned when the thing really gets slamed, and fuel pours out the main jets. Is there a baffle or any other tricks I can do to help this guy?
Thanks,
Alex

Alex,
This may not be the answer your looking for but it seems to be working for me. The rock crawlers and off road truck engines I've been doing has been getting fuel injection. FI seems to solve all the fuel control issues we've had with that type off use. OEM stuff seems to work very well.

Thanks,
If it was only that easy. That is out due to cost. Rules also state no elec. pumps.

I know some t- bodies run on lower pressure. Can you run a tuned port set up on a mech. pump? Any how, efi is still out due to cost, and he all ready has the carb.
