I have used the 15/40 rotella for quite a few years. Motor freshen was recent after over 670 runs 1/8 & 1/4 . Iwould have used the bearings again but I did not bag them up without something between them and the majority of the rods got nicked and a couple of the mains did as well.
BBC ,dry sump .004/.0033 15/40 7qts, 1 qt .lucas stabilizer. 7600 max rpm. Change oil when it smells fuel contaminated.
I buy 1 oil for the truck and the race car.
Just my experience.

I have used Mobil Delvac MX 14/40 CI-4 a lot with great results. Great wear on old and new parts, great cam run in too.

I asked Mobil what all the levels were and they would only tell me that they were 'good', and they did not want to give all the specs out as this is what makes their oil good!!! I said I used other oils that had 1200 to 1700ppm Zinc and he said to me "dont worry its better than 1500ppm, its good oil". Not sure if what they sell here in Australia is the same as what they sell in the USA but IME it is pretty good stuff.
