I'm not educated in the circle track world, but I know for a fact that the PM rod is used 'round these parts. "Sportsman" class? Does that sound right?

This rod is being used in a class around here(WI). The class is based off the old ASA Late model program. The engine is a GM crate engine, 600or 650 cfm carb. GM has a max RPM they aren't supposed to exceed. They do break if exceeded. If I remember correctly they produce 450hp.

The rod has a limit, but ok for mild street.

I used a set after polishing the beams in a 355 that made 420 hp/400 tq w/o any trouble for a few years in my very hard street driven 5 sp 70 camaro with a 6500 or so redline due to the hyd roller liffter weight, but the pistons were heavy standard rebuild hyper-silvolites-I think.I feel w/a solid liffter I would have been fine going to 7500 and 500hp w/a lighter piston and this rod combo.Put a good bolts and a lite enough piston in and you'll most likely be fine.
