I am switching to morosos elminator oil pan for a small block Chevy part #21016. They have it listed as being a 7 quart pan, not including the filter.
I don't feel 100% safe with morosos listings as being 7 quarts. I usually use an oil pan (Canton) that holds 5 quarts, not including filter, and run it a half quart low, because of windage. The new pan has a dipstick location in the pan, and i have a custom dipstick that i have to calibrate to my oil level. Since i can no longer use my stock location dipstick i am not sure of my oil level, when comparing to my old pan. I want to keep it near the same level to control windage (distance from the crank). I wanted to see if anyone else is using this pan, and how many quarts you are using, not including the filter.
