thanks for the ideas, I am an older guy and remember back when a lot 283s were around, I have built a lot of engines I know a 406 will over power a engine like 283 but for me its a thing I haven't built yet, the cam might not be that heavy but it will be built

I have a couple o 283s, I am going to build one of them, got some trw forged 11.0s, scat rods, 194 fulies, 66 corvette intake, I heard a statement recently, its easy to over cam a 283, didn't make since to me, the cam I'm looking at is a solid lifter 498/498 280 dur. its just an engine for a hot rod...

I have a set of trw dome pistons for 350 chev, the number is L2252, would this number carry over to speed pro, the speed pro L2252YF discription is the same as the trw appears to be

forged trw, bore looks good hardly any ridge, 920 heads angle milled 030, should be around 10:1cr, we have a 79 Z/28 that needs an engine

350 chevy std bore with stock dish pistons, 8.5cr, Im going to istall a set of used trw 11;1 with used moly rings, hone the cylinders. new rod and main berings, this engine is whats in the shop job, no money spent, just parts we had left over over time, the only thing Im unsure of is the used moly r...

I have a 383 chevy with one piece rear main external balenced... I am looking for a flywheel 10.5 or 11 inch disc . I checked chevrolet but they tell me it's for a 10 in clutch, so the question is who sells one,

talk to a machine shop, a couple of years back I did and found only two manufactures make lifters , one for oil pumps and was told lots of things I didn't realize happening in the parts business

I have a barry grant six shooter for sm chevy, this one fits the fast burn heads, I can drill it for older heads but it seems not to fit an older block in the distributor area, am I missing somthing

when you think of two stroke expantion chambers , it gets explained simply as sound waves pushing unburnt fuel back into the exaust port, I had kawi triples for quit a few years, correctly designed chambers can add up to 25% more hp, angle and lenth of the cones make a big difference and the lenth a...

I've used rustoleum for years, never had a problem, found it keeps the block cleaner inside,no crap buildup around bolts or in corners,valleys,or low spots I don't know if it helps but been doing it for years, clean the block with reducer or thinner first

there is a marine engine that is 4 cylinder , its half a ford 460 uses a 460 cyl head i think it's 230 cid stock
