Re: Drag strip temp

Last week we ran radials and at 135 deg track and our 60 foot only varied 7 thou from 89 in the morning. Two months prior in Sacramento temps were 138+ and we were wheels up no Prob...

They work perfect. Too bad NHRA will not let us use them.

Re: Oxygenated fuel 20+ Horse power?
Q 16 is well worth the investment. 637 cu inch DRCE2 , 2420 lb door car, 7.13 @ 196 with C25. Changed to Q 16, jetted up, air was 300 ft worse, 7.05 @ 198. Jetted up again in 400 ft worse air, 6.96 @ 198 and change. I would say it's a little better than 20 hp. At least with our stuff. Yes the EGT's ...

A 10.5W measures what width? 12? I used to run a 14x32W Firestone #9 on a 12 inch rim at 6 lbs also with a 4.30 gear. Went 7200 in the traps @ 8.80. 1650 lbs LT1 350 no tricks. 1978.....

Re: Dragster wheel hop
Do you have a wheelie bar? If so lower it. More than likely you are rebounding the tire. Lower the bars and tire pressure. A FED/Alt does not like a high wheelie bar.

Re: what amber to leave on the tree when footbraking?
JB, build yourself a blinder and leave off the bottom bulb. It makes it a .500 pro tree. Use the stock visor modified or build your own. You will want to back light the reverse side of the blinder at night with an amber 194 bulb. That takes away the glare of the previous yellow coming down at night...

How much torque do you make? Our 560 has 825@ 7300 and our 602 has 935@7400. Unassisted. The 1.80 killed between .05 and .07. We ran a 1.90 before and it loved it. We are at 2300lbs and the 560 runs 7.20's @ 190+ with a 1.04 60 ft and a 16x33 Goodyear Pro Tire. Only shake down runs thusfar with the ...

Who's shocks and what is the rebound and compression set at? Looks like your wing is working by the compression. Looking at you ds, the track was not that good, spin, hook, spin and...... You can see that in the G meter also. It looks like a ton of movement but it is not. We go full soft 2.5 into th...
