Food for thought ... I've seen GE hold the run-out on Giant Frame 7 Gas Turbine plane bearings to +/- .0005 from one end to the other (obviously not apples to apples here). They have to roll the assy out for 8+ hrs to get rid of any memory in the steel from sagging under its own weight prior to begi...
