Re: Tuner and others
What are you looking for Larry? racingfuelsystems.com has a lot, Innovate and Motorsports Village are both gone. British queen has some of the texts from Tuner and Shrinker, but no pictures. Let me know what you need, I'll try to make a post.

Re: Speed master billet carbs.
Where is the venturi on the body in relation to the booster? The Pro Comp/Speedmaster billet bodies with boosters, not tubes, were copied from a Dambest body where the venturi is above the booster. In the case of the Dambest the booster is a bell booster, forcing the actual venturi pint to the botto...

Re: Pro Systems Dominator woes
Those carbs are a crap shoot, the newer ones with 2 circuit blocks usually can be fixed with recalibration. Unfortunately the unknown is the body, a few of the Holley HP Dominator castings had porosity issues. Is it a 3 circuit or 2? Gas? Or?

Cheap small flat file from Harbor Freight grind the wide sides off leaving the thin side with teeth.

Re: Soldering/drilling jets?
While it may work... Holley jets are a square edge orifice jet. It's flow characteristics are based on having a square entrance, and the flow is based on the length and diameter of the passage. It is possible to have a bigger passage diameter and flow less. Opening up a jet may actually decrease flo...

Re: Pro systems carburetor
My suggestion for a budget carb contact ATM. Otherwise get something custom from a more reputable company. Crossing plenty of lines here.. Being honest. I build carbs, and I have repaired a lot of those. I don't fault any company for their calibrations I may not agree with, as long as the components...

Re: Holley 850 Ultra XP
Wish I had seen this sooner. The Ultra XP 950 with a 1.600 Venturi is not a carb you want to buy. It flows and signals poorly, I believe because of the poor entrance shape. A QF 950 with only a 1.45 Venturi will flow the same air and signal much better. I have flow bench tested 3 separate Ultra 950 ...

Re: Holley 750 Dominator Booster Change Over
If you want to make it run well look over the following link. It needs t-slot restrictions, lowered idle feeds, and opened up angle channels to be ideal. http://www.motorsportsvillage.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3742 T slot restrictions usually kill throttle response ,, might make a pretty dy...

Re: 4 corner idle secondary transfer slot
Primary t-slot exposure is what's most important, and as long as it's not overexposed secondary needs little if any exposure. You need to look at the baseplates, most have a small discharge hole below the rear t-slot to bleed fuel with the blades closed. I take lead and plug the bottom of the rear t...

Re: Q16 or M5?
Having built and run a couple SB2.2's for drag racing, I ran the 447 on methanol, E85, race gas, aviation fuel, and Q16. Q16 is always fastest because of the efficiency of the heads. The 461 was dyno'ed on gas, E85 and Q16. 35 HP down on E85, 20 HP down on race gas over Q16. My best time on Q16 is a...

Re: How to select the right carb boosters?
Blow thru I would tend to run annulars. Roots style supercharger is more aggressive and generate a lot of heat, downlegs are fine for those.

Thread both the idle feeds and PVCR's and it won't matter.

Re: How to select the right carb boosters?
I use annular for most new builds, but also size the carb accordingly. Small carbs and engines with a lot of heat may not need an annular.
