Re: SBF AFR 1426 OR NOT.
Plan to use them on a 65 falcon 331 street/strip car. I may upgrade to a 363 combo later on so i thought those heads would work on both. No egr needed

SBF AFR 1426 OR NOT.
I have a chance to buy a new pr of sbf afr 1426 heads at a really good price but as these are suited to a egr smog pump application should i steer clear and source the afr 1381 at a later date when my budget allows. Thanks in advance

Re: Scat sbc premium pro series I beam HP limit
As these 6 inch I beams are considerably lighter than H beams, did you use a crank made for 5.7 rods or 6 inch? Thanks

Re: Scat sbc premium pro series I beam HP limit
That sounds promising. Not sure how light your pistons are but im using a pro series srp flat top. With rings and pin mine weight 540grams, hopefully thats acceptable for a 6500 rpm limit with those rods.

Re: afr 195 or 210 ?
I haven't sorted the cam as of yet, i would start a new thread but think it will cause a ruckus like this one. I think ill just go back to lurking from afar....lolFrankshaft wrote: ↑Tue May 29, 2018 6:25 pm Sounds cool. Have you picked a cam yet? Maybe start a thread. Lol. This site needs some excitement, it's getting stagnant in here.

Re: afr 195 or 210 ?
Do the 210cc it is nowhere near too big for a 406. You will have enough torque if done right that the street tires will not hold the power anyway and will spin too easily at low rpm. My emc motors that had epoxy in them were done to raise the runners not necessarily shrink the size. I imagine most ...

Re: afr 195 or 210 ?
As I havent selected a cam as of yet I stated 6800 thinking that would be max safe rpm for the crane hydraulic roller lifter.

Re: afr 195 or 210 ?
Its a full street trim 67 camaro. Just a fun car no show that i can beat on weekends or whenever. Max rpm 6800 . I do realize there numerous heads available & i was hoping to use the 200 racer pro's but there not available atm so i was thinking 195 or 210 afr.

afr 195 or 210 ?
Hi All, Not sure which head would suit my 400 sbc combo best? Im currently building a 67 4 speed c.amaro which will be a street car only, hoping to make 520-550hp on 98 pump. Engine parts I have so far are 400 shp block, srp flat tops, ported rpm airgap, 6inch scat h beans, 750hp carb. No cam or hea...

Re: Hydraulic roller lifters
I wish there was a cheaper alternative than a $900 lifter but if it avoids a time consuming failure im just going to pay it. If you find a better option please let us know.
