That's pretty cool. What do you use for bait? And how is it set up? I do a bit of hunting here in Australia also. Wild pigs/boar and deer mostly. Ive never seen or heard of "baits". And surely you don't shoot bears? .

Thanks Geoff. The pattern is from a complete cycle through zero to full lift and back again. The sweep pattern shown in the picture is as close to the stem edge as it gets with my resulting pushrod length. This topic seems to draw so many opinions and suggestions. Thanks for all the feedback. As far as lifter type. I did a little mod to an old hydraulic lifter. I took the spring out of the lifter and filled it with shim washers until it was effectively a solid or pumped up lifter. I wouldnt imagine there to be anything wrong with this? I tried to look up different rocker arm measurements to find something shorter but cant seem to find any that actually give that information. Maybe im looking in the wrong places..

Thanks mag2555. I havnt been checking with the guide plates off. How does that effect the geometry? The rockers have plenty of clearance from the retainers with the pushrod lengths ive been playing with. the only other rockers i have on hand are the old stamped factory ones.
