Re: Oil galley fitting
It's to move oil from one gallery to the other. That makes sense. It is not uncommon for branched oil galleries to have different dynamic pressures or levels of aeration; maybe this is to try to correct such an imbalance. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Addendum Plenty of grammar po...

I'm told the 7.3L gas engine has 2.5" main journals and 2.0" rod journals.

Re: Pushrod Ford official.
A 4 valve motor will make more torque if it’s. Holt for it, as opposed to rpm. It will always have the potential to have a flatter and wider power curve than a 2 valve head, any day. Pretty cool, just wonder why (besides packaging or demand for a cheap, simple fleet type engine)? You hit the nail o...

Re: Ford goes pushrod?
I have a friend that is working on the project at Ford. It is 7.3L and the cam is back in the block. The push rod engines are cheaper to build and are an easier pkg. to install in the vehicle.

Re: 1970 Torino Cobra 429 starter?
That's funny right there :-}
As you clearly know, It's a very easy deal on the 460 flexplate [not flywheel] they all are 164 regardless.....'78 Lincoln , JW wheel or Scat they are all the same tooth count. A flywheel is a different bird.

Re: Ford 6.2 As A Performance Engine?
Today I was working on a set of heads brought in by a local Ford dealer off of a 6.2 liter V8. They look really nice and I was curious if this engine has seen much in the way of performance development. I was at the Big Ford Bash about 10 years ago when Don Bowles had an engine which I think was a ...

Like Kaase did with the SCJ & P51 head....the AFR guys did a good job of getting the intake valve off the cylinder wall.
